Identity Crisis - New Identity Uganda

A social identity crisis occurs when an individual or group struggles with their sense of belonging, self-concept, or affiliation within society. This can stem from various factors, including cultural dislocation, social change, discrimination, globalization, and social media influence. Many young people face challenges with identity, often feeling uncertain about their lives. Some common symptoms of an identity crisis include:

1. Confusion about one's role or place in society

2. Feeling disconnected from others

3. Uncertainty about personal values or beliefs

4. Difficulty forming or maintaining relationships

The solution to this crisis lies in Christ, and it can only be effective through discipleship. Discipleship is a structured, intentional process of learning and growing after the character and competencies of Christ.

To truly know oneself, one must understand who they are and whose they are. As stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." This emphasizes the need for evangelism, so everyone can come to know Christ.

Jesus calls us to disciple nations, and this is what will combat the identity crisis that is increasing at a rapid pace. There is more to life than material possessions; our focus should be on disciples – the souls of men. As Proverbs 11:30 NKJV says, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise."

New Identity Uganda is driven by a zeal to do God's work by discipling the next generation. Our mission is to equip, empower, and teach young people to think, live, and lead like Christ. We achieve this through outreaches, after-school clubs (New Identity Pathfinder Clubs), distributing Bibles, and hosting Pathfinder Brain Boot Camps that teach the Journey of Restoration – a combination of scripture principles and scientific research.

As stated in Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations... teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you." We make disciples by teaching, and the only way to love people is through discipleship. New Identity Uganda aims to transform minds, empower lives, and send out wise, capable individuals who can change their communities and the next generation.

NEW IDENTITY UGANDA – Transforming minds, empowering lives to think, live and lead like Christ.
